Beginning in the Fall of 1977, longtime comic strip collector and scholar Carl Horak began publishing STRIP SCENE, dedicated to the art of collecting American newspaper comic strips. Residing in Canada, and teaching English at a local high school in Calgary, Horak published this great early fanzine on a quarterly basis for a number of years. At that time printing options weren't what they are today, and many of the early issues of STRIP SCENE were published with the use of a school mimeograph machine.

SPEC Productions, with great care and dedication, has reproduced every issue of STRIP SCENE from the original masters to bring you the highest quality possible of this great early 'fanzine'. A great addition to any strip fanatic's collection!
